Founded in 2000, Geo Solutions Ltd. is a United States-based geophysical consulting firm specializing in shallow subsurface investigations for environmental, engineering, infrastructure, mining, and construction projects nationwide.

We provide advanced geophysical surveying, geological consulting, utility investigations, and non-destructive concrete evaluation services for engineering firms, government agencies, environmental consultants, and private industry clients. By integrating innovative technologies, experienced personnel, and state-of-the-art instrumentation, Geo Solutions delivers accurate subsurface data to support informed project decisions.

Personnel

Geo Solutions Ltd. is owned and operated by John DeLoatch, a geologist and geophysicist with extensive experience supporting environmental, transportation, mining, infrastructure, and engineering projects throughout the United States. Since becoming President and owner of Geo Solutions in 2017, John has directed all aspects of project management, field operations, data interpretation, client relations, and technical services, continuing the company’s reputation for delivering reliable and cost-effective geophysical and geological results nationwide. Prior to leading Geo Solutions, John served in multiple technical and management roles including Environmental Manager for a municipality in eastern North Carolina, Engineering Geologist with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), and Mine Geologist & Earthworks Manager for Iluka Resources. His background provides practical experience in subsurface investigations, environmental assessments, geologic mapping, and applied geophysics for complex project environments.

Geo Solutions Ltd. was founded in 2000 by Ron Crowson, a highly respected geologist and geophysicist with more than four decades of experience in mining, engineering, and environmental industries. Throughout his distinguished career, Ron served in numerous leadership and technical roles for various consulting firms, mining operations, and government. In addition to his technical accomplishments, Ron played an important role in advancing the geology profession in North Carolina and was instrumental in the development of geology licensure within the state, including helping establish the North Carolina Board for Licensing of Geologists. His leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to the profession helped build the strong foundation and reputation that continue to define Geo Solutions today. Ron retired from active operations in 2017.
